Books that you re-read

Post by boo »

Whether its fiction or non-fiction, what are some books that you re-read on a semi-regular basis? Either cover-to-cover or just reading select passages/chapters.

I personally think, at least for books of philosophy, it's better to re-read a few high-quality select books that have resonated with you, than it is to evermore be reading new authors, ideas, and interpretations. On that front I re-read Marcus Aurelius' Meditations and Takuan Soho's Unfettered Mind often. I don't re-read from start to finish but will usually revisit large-chunks (1/3 of the book) or a few select passages. I probably revisit those books every 3 months or so.
