Re: Paranoid Gentoo: Level 1

Re: Strategies to stop doom scrolling and general distractability
I found that this strategy just doesn't work for me. The more that I focus on implementing barriers to an undesirable behavior, the more that I focus ON that undesirable behavior. Like a novice skier who's focus is transfixed on the tree in-front of them, by being so focused on what it is they want ...

Just doing a whole bunch of fucking nothing crawling for a little dopamine hit for some funny or some rage bait. Wasting time...

Reddits one moment of clarity
Right after the devestating loss on Nov 5, redditors had a rude awakening the regularly scheduled "maga bad" and "we good and winning" programming had been deferred https://web.archive.org/web/20241107001625/https://old.reddit.com/r/facepalm/comments/1gl65b1/man_this_election_did...

Re: Online datings dominance = loves destruction?
only people that can succeed at online dating even participate in it anymore. Unless youre chad thundercock with a dozen bitches on rotation, good luck There is no more room for actual "Love" anymore. Love is a skill, it's not some intense feeling that will just always be present if the ot...

Paranoid Gentoo: Level 1
In the never-ending cycle of Distro hopping, and my needs never quite being met, I have finally taken the Gentoo pill. To balance usability and security (and reproducibility!) I have started the "Paranoid Gentoo" project. This guide will set-up a moderately hardened Gentoo environment with...

Re: Sky People unite
But perhaps most importantly, my ultimate dream is to become a cyborg. Hmm interesting For me, being a cyborg holds a deep spiritual meaning. It means having control over enhancing my own strength so that even the strongest person in the world would seem weak in comparison. It means addressing any ...

Re: Could Temple OS run on a RISC-V board or Raspberry pi?
I don't think it would be able to run bare metal on a non x86 SBC since (I assume) at least a little bit of the OS is written in assembly specifically for x86 machines. Would be cool to see someone port it to ARM/RISC-V or even try and emulate x86 on something like a Raspberry Pi. There is a projec...
